August 2014 / Folkestone, Kent
As well as offering people the chance to become part of an art installation during the Folkestone Triennial, those involved were asked to share their own thoughts on luck and how lucky they think they are. The little sculptures, which were created by the team from Digital Native Academy, came in a variety of sizes and prices, suited to most pockets, offering participants the opportunity to purchase an affordable and personal artwork that captures a moment in time; a modern day version of the family snapshot. Following the exhibition each participant was able to take their artwork home as a memento of their involvement and a reminder of the power of thinking lucky.
Many thanks to Digital Native Academy, Arts Council England, Shepway District Council and all those visitors who got involved and made the exhibition a reality.
