- public art + people
- can art change the way people feel about their community?
- can public art be something that is already there?
- can public art make people feel safer?
other people's photographs 2
Strange Cargo in collaboration with Moblog.Uk have created OPP2 - Other People’s Photographs Too, a social networking site to house the photographic collection from OPP and to enable everyone to keep contributing to the project and create their own personal OPP map.
The overwhelming response to the work and the continued enthusiasm to keep collecting photographs as well as the desire to hold the whole collection online, led us to develop OPP2.
Photos taken on the streets of Folkestone, Cheriton, Sandgate could be uploaded to a participants personal page by emailing or messaging them to the opp2.org website and users could see each others photographs and comment on and share them.
Strange Cargo funded the development of OPP2 themselves as a digital research project. The website is currently not live-we are planning on creating an archive version, but have not been able to raise the funding needed to keep it running.
