Cheriton Lights Artist: Impossible Arts
23 February 2013
"In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes" - Andy Warhol, 1968. You can test that theory at Cheriton Lights where Impossible Arts invite you to participate in a playful new piece, adding your likeness to appear on a giant silver screen.
A vintage looking camera at an outdoor photography station contains a face recognition camera that will take a short sequence of images. These are combined with other quirky imagery and the resulting live animations are projected onto a large outdoor screen.
Impossible Arts create unique events and installations that combine innovative technologies, intriguing visuals and participatory arts practice. Based in Pennine Yorkshire but touring everywhere from Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, to South Beach near Bridlington, Impossible seek new ways to involve people in the creation of artwork.
