Cheriton Lights Artists: Rising Giant

Rising Giant is a collaboration between several artists including Greg Stobbs and animator Kevin Francis.

Greg Stobbs is an illustrator, designer, sculptor and street artist. Often focusing on a central character his work bridges the gap between the freedom of child art, and the hard graphic lines of design and graffiti. He often works live for businesses, and at events to demonstrate the creative process, giving the audience an opportunity to see the working before the finished product.

Kevin Francis is currently the head of broadcast graphics and animation at CSC Media and has several years experience in commercial animation and motion graphics. He has helped develop the branding some of the UK’s most popular digital satellite channels. He has also worked on a number of community-based projects.

Previous clients include the BBC, Urban Outfitters, Adidas, Serge de Nime, The Design Factory Portugal, ITV and Kirin.
