Project based training – artists gain experience and confidence when they join our team on individual projects. Often learning is work-based and organic, contributing to the project’s practical outputs at the same time as contributing to the professional development of the artist.
Artist training programmes – we support the training of our artists to improve and increase their creative skills, to enable them to deliver on specific projects and to further their own development. Our bespoke artist training programmes have been purchased by local authorities and other arts organisations, these incorporate craft skills such as sculpture and basketry training, lantern creation and carnival and event management.
Gallery training – our curatorial development programmes at Georges House Gallery are similar to those taught on post-graduate courses. Informal learning opportunities also occur in our cross-gallery work where curatorial development is required to produce multi-site and mixed media exhibitions across a number of disciplines.
