Lockjaw
26 August - 14 September 2011
LockJaw has been selected as a “trigger” word for this collaboration to take place, leaving it up to each artist to showcase his or her own interpretations.
LockJaw will act as a catalyst to our individual approach to guiding ideas with the process of painting. Paradoxes, connections and divisions will be communicated through a painterly body of work.
Tetanus, commonly called lockJaw, is a serious bacterial disease that affects muscles and nerves. Infection generally occurs through wound contamination and often involves a cut or deep puncture wound. As the infection progresses, muscle spasms develop in the jaw (thus the name "lockjaw") and elsewhere in the body.
