Strange Cargo is developing a major capital programme.
On the site of our existing workshop, which is located only five minutes drive from The Channel Tunnel, M20, and major fast link rail services to London, we will be building a bespoke, flexible production space and gallery to replace our existing dilapidated workshop currently on the site.

Working closely with Tim Ronalds Architects, the team responsible for such world class creative venues as The Hackney Empire, Anthony Gormley's Studio, London Circus Space, and Brighton College Arts Centre - and ably assisted in our ambitions by Artreach consultants, Strange Cargo has already reached RIBA Stage C with the programme. The next phase involves gaining Planning Permission, before embarking on the major task of fundraising to realise this ambitious and important cultural venue for the South East.

The project has already gained support from Arts Council England, and we intend to create opportunities for major sponsors to have the opportunity to support the programme.
