We believe in art for everyone.

Strange Cargo produce, develop, support and deliver high-quality participatory arts projects.

"We’re interested in people and our portfolio of work reflects this. Empowering communities through high-quality cultural engagement can benefit individuals and society as a whole, and transform public perceptions. Our projects explore issues related to public space, focus on participatory public art and illustrate our bespoke approach to consultation and delivery. We’re passionate about the role of the arts in learning, training and skill-building for schools and communities. Creative professional development opportunities, and investment in artist research, underpin our work. We’ve worked in East Kent for 15 years and make a vital contribution to Folkestone's cultural landscape. We provide a professional space for artists to make and show new, world-class visual art at Georges House Gallery.
We’ve recently been chosen as one of 19 international artists for the Folkestone Triennial 2011, and been commissioned to produce an exciting new public art project Everywhere Means Something to Someone."
